Recent modernisation has brought a new vibe to Glasgows Merchant City, making it a popular spot for the trendy set of an evening. Lots of nice restaurants and bars to sample as well as some choice designer stores.

Merchant City is the upmarket part of Glasgow City Centre. Lots of expensive shops to look at including The Italian Centre. Plenty of lively bars and restaurants too. Merchant Square is undercover and well worth a look around.

Great spot for a few drinks and food, and only a 10min walk to the Barrowlands if you're off to a gig
