Good area for restaurants and bars. Inside the old market you have this all under the one roof so you don't need to worry about the weather. Sometimes you get market stalls inside and outside. Christmas time is worth visiting

I love going to The Merchant City. The many restaurants are great, from chippies to Indian, Chinese, Mexican, and everything in between. Fantastic pubs and bars are here too. Traditional Scottish pubs, Irish pubs, comedy pubs, casinos and nightclubs. Always something going on here
