I booked a private tour with Ricky for 6 people coming off a cruise ship for the day. I had emailed with Ricky concerning our preferences, and he made sure our driver/guide (Derek) showed us the places we wanted to see. We toured Stirling Castle, drove to Loch Lomond for lunch, and then ended the day at the Glengoyne Distillery.... More

We only had two days in Scotland and chose to do Edinburgh one day and, upon Ricki's recommendation, one day in St. Andrews. Ricki picked us up right on time and drove us the "scenic route" to St. Andrews which was awesome--got to see the country side and he knows everything about the area. St. Andrews blew us away-- I... Ricki was a wonderful tour guide. We had one day in Scotland and wanted to see as much as we could of the country. He showed up in classic Scottish attire and gave us a wonderful tour of the country. He is very knowledgable and personable and never felt rushed. When we go back to Scotland we hope to be... More

We already know Ricki from previous trips so we cannot imagine Scotland without him. This time we were here for a costum made daytrip from Glasgow to Edinburgh passing thru Loch Lomond, The Highlands and Glencoe. It was great, Ricki never disappoints. We would have loved to plan a more extensive trip, as we have done before, but we were... More

We booked Ricki for a three day tour of Scotland in September 2016. We left Edinburgh first thing in the morning of Day One, spent the day viewing absolutely spectacular scenery and castles, caught a ferry to Skye, spent Day Two on Skye, then drove from Skye to Inverness/Culloden on Day Three. We could not have asked for a better... More

We spent 4 fantastic days with Ricky exploring Argyll and Perthshire. In addition to the more familiar sites we visited some picturesque glens and ancient churches and cemeteries all off the beaten track. Ricky has a wealth of information on Scottish geology and natural and human history. He recommended some great B7Bs and restaurants. We would not hesitate one moment... More

Ricki took us on a three day excursion of the Scottish Highlands. He is a very knowledgeable guide that is in tune with the desires of his clients. He took us to a lot of "hidden gems" that we would have never found on our own. I highly recommend using Ricki if you want to see the beautiful sights of... More

We spent a fabulous and informative day with Ricky Henderson while our ship was in Greenock. Ricky picked us up timely, in his handsome kilt, and our family of 4 boarded his comfortable van. He shared many local historical stories with us while on our tour, and accompanied us to see so many sights, including Glasgow Cathedral, Stirling & Doune... More

Our family of 5 recently took a tour around Scotland and the surrounding countryside with Ricki. We were on Princess Caribbean, and Ricki met us at the dock and returned us promptly to board our trip. (Reliability is key when you are booking tours outside the ship!) Ricki is warm and personable and answered our endless questions with insight and... More

I travelled to Scotland in mid August of 2016. We stayed in Glasgow. We only had three days to visit. After researching what we wanted to do, I realized that the best way to see the most places was to hire a private tour. I was referred to About Scotland and I am so happy I was. We decided to...
