We followed the self- guided tour through the house. Very detailed explanations of how the house was built based on original design by Mackintosh. Most impressive building. Pleasant restaurant/ café with indoor and outdoor seating. Wonderful gardens.

Spent yesterday afternoon having afternoon tea with family that included a baby. Staff continue to impress. Friendly, attentive and professional throughout visit. Selection for afternoon tea was delicious and nicely presented. This establishment is very clean, with table covers that are spotless. Wonderful afternoon tea in the hall and dining room after a wonderful music recital in the music room. Although I have eaten many times in the café/restaurant this was the first time I had attended such an event as this. Wonderful value for a wonderful experience.

Many thanks for coming along to one of our recitals in the Music Room, its wonderful to hear that you enjoyed it - particularly as our first experience of an event in this area of the building. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to join us again at another of our recitals later in the year. Many thanks, Lynn More

Visited here for a wander round the gardens and lunch the other day. Gardens were at their best in the beautiful sunshine. Hadn't booked for lunch but they squeezed us in without too much trouble, and the lunch, which eventually consisted of freshly baked scones hot from the oven, was very pleasant.

We are so glad you popped in, we have to agree the park was looking wonderful on the recent sunny days this month - the flowers are in full bloom. A warm scone with jam and cream is our favourite thing to have from the menu too. Thanks for visiting! Lynn More

This was built to Rennie mackintosh design without interference/comprise from owner. The music room just takes your breath away as the sun was shing though windowns and all white including white carpet. The furnuite was just marvelous. The dining room was fabulous and the story about the creation of the murals was very interesting.

Hi David, Thank-you for your comments, and for visiting - we are delighted you enjoyed it! The house was created as close to Charles and Margaret's original drawings as possible and this was done with the help of some very talented architects and a team from the Glasgow School of Art. Attended a wedding here on a lovely sunny day. The park was in great shape. The service during the event was excellent and the meal well prepared and tasty. Visited on a lovely spring day! The play area is quirky, amusing, beautiful and great fun for kids and a comfortable area for adults to wait while they play. The rest of the grounds are pleasant enough but lacked cohesion to my mind. Interesting areas but somehow the whole is lacking something. We did not go into the building. The... More
