An Interesting Place to Discover the Work of Rennie Makintosh

From the top (a considerable climb to the 6th floor) you get very good views of Glasgow. There are interesting displays about the works and architecture of Macintosh.

The museum and shop were great and the glass window looking over Buchanan Street was the highlight for me. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely lunch and staff were very helpful.

I love going to the lighthouse as it really is a beautiful place to visit. One of the fantastic things is that the view of the city is absolutely breathtaking. The exhibition of the architecture of Macintosh is also very interesting and gives a good overall look into glasgow architecture. The staircase is quite a climb to the top but... More

You have to love a city where you get rooftop views and an art lesson all free. We were on a mission to see anything related to C. R. Mackintosh so the awesome display and then the fun spiral stairs were amazing. What a great city!!

We visited here almost as an afterthought because it was so accessible from the main shopping area. We first went to the viewing gallery. The lift was the option to the top floor and crowded but the trip was worthwhile. We then descended to the MacKintosh Society gallery which had a really well-preserved and interesting display. From here we climbed... More

Free panoramic views of the city and beyond. Take the escalator to the third floor and walk up the helix stairs. They are solid so no need to panic. The viewing area is 6 storeys. I've seen a whole bunch of school kids climbing up and down the stairs so worry not if you're a bit tentative. The view is... More

Great exhibits and always different things going on in the Galleries. My favourite is the Mackintosh one on Level 3 and visit here quite regularly!

The is a great experience numerous floors of exhibitions and a floor dedicated to Mackintosh. The climb to the top up the spiral staircase is well worth the effort, the view of Glasgow is spectacular. And like some of the best things in life its FREE>
