Unfortunately during winter months it is only open 3 days a week so you need to check before you go as we didn't and had to go twice. However, it was worth the wait. It is quite small but there is a serious amount of police memorabilia which is really worth seeing. The men were also very informative and very... More

Policing old and new. I love seeing the history of policing. My hubby was a Strathclyde officer for 30yrs. Policing has changed so much over the years. It is always good to let the young ones see just how much has changed

50 years of dedicated application to both Glasgow Police History and other police forces of the World by its Curator. A very worthy museum for an interesting and great City and most certainly worth a visit and not to be missed when in Glasgow. An excellent display of international police items and artifacts that is unlikely to be seen anywhere... More

An interesting free venue for young & old, staffed by volunteers of Ex Glasgow Police Force, a must see as contains early uniforms and memorabilia of early policing from throughout the world. It is nice if you visit and leave a donation as helps preserve the upkeep of this small but interesting museum.

We went when the place was closed over christmas and by off chance Alistair Dinsmor one of the lynch pins of this fine museum was in. Rather than turn us away he very kindly allowed us to have a good look around. He also came and gave us some of the behind stories of some exhibits which was great. It... More

Found this place by chance, and decided to have a wee keek. Run by ex police personel, it is full of interesting little stories about how the Glasgow force first came about. Was in there about an hour and have been back with friends several times, though that was more to show them around rather than aneed to go back... More

This is a really tiny museum, but well worth a visit if you have any interest in the police force. There is only two rooms, but there is so much information packed into the display cases, including police uniforms and badges from all over the world. We had a private tour from Alistair who started the museum from scratch. He... More

This site is set away in an old building and can be a bit difficult to find, access is via intercom. The museum is run and staffed mainly by retired officers from Scotland force. So when you ask a question there is a wealth of knowledge and often a funny story, I really think these chaps make the place so... More

If like me you have an interest in how the scottish police force has evolved and how they have improved on how the criminal over the years has always been one step behind and you will leave with more respect of the police than you did before you went in This venue is an up to date centre full of... Firstly please pay attention to the winter opening hours as we didn't and had to go back the next day! As civilians in the police back home we were very interested to see this museum. Lots of local history and also information about worldwide forces. Very interesting and well presented
