Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped along for a wee visit to eat our fish suppers. Managed to get a parking space (normally it's choc a bloc. Beach was busy with loads of surfers, a few wild swimmers (very brave) and a rowing boat, with plenty of walkers. Children's play area was busy also. Had a pleasant stroll to the harbour and back via Kinkell BRAES end

The great thing about this beach is that it is small and sheltered. The harbour is nearby and the waves are gentle.
The West sands is an expanse of sand but is very open and can be a little windy - although...it too is exceptionally stunning.
I am not aware of public toilets at the East sands, so this could be problematic if you plan to stay all day.
There is a swing park for the kiddies and snack bars too.
The view is outstanding!

Another luvly beach to visit, down by the harbour area. A wee cafe with outside seating, also a cheesey toast shack to visit. Picnic benches and childrens play area. Worth a visit. :)

We visited several times this week as it’s in a good location. Lovely walk along the beach to the harbour wall. Snack bar, ice cream parlour and toilets nearby

Avery different experience from West Sands; East Sands is smaller and more enclosed but can still be windy.. Great for a walk with or without dog and more family friendly
It has the famous cheese shack too

Always really quite clean and well kept. Good for a stroll along with the kids while inevitably waiting for the swimming pool to open

This is a great beach for an early morning swim. Easy parking just at the back of the beach. If the tide is in it gets deep quite quickly so no long wading out. Clean, beautiful and very handy.

Great beach walk! Lots of dog walkers out and about and a beautiful view of the ocean. Visited on a day trip to St Andrews and would highly recommend this and the West Sands beach too!

Why is the beach covered in large stones, when it used to be all sand.
Is there plans in place to clean the beach to the standard it use to be.
