    Great dog friendly cafe
Visited here yesterday afternoon and loved the cafe .Being dog friendly was the main reason we went. Coffee was delicious and infact we bought a bag of their coffee beans to take home . The scones were some of the best I have tasted, and being a baker myself I am very fussy about scones !!! The staff are very friendly.

What a find on the coastal path
Came across this great cafe on a walk along the coastal path, we were pleasantly surprised at the interior and knew it would be good by all the people in there. We were greeted with a warm welcome and lucky enough to get a table which was reserved for an hour later, which was fine, as we were only having a small bite to eat. The menu has plenty to choose from and was reasonably priced, we enjoyed our iced coffees, tea, cakes and a bacon roll, all excellent quality. We will definitely go back, booking next time, to be sure of having a lunch there.

    Great food and Dog Friendly
We loved our visit to the Harbour Master Cafe today :) We visited with our puppy, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our dog was given a water bowl and made a fuss of. The foot was superb! It was a lovely experience and I’d definitely return x

This wee place doesn’t even have to be good, its location is enough to entice people, but the place is exceptional. Food is excellent quality, staff are energetic, polite and eager to please. The layout of the place is bright, clean with lovely artwork. There is a window to the side for takeaway.
There is a small museum downstairs, its very interesting, films etc, not stuffy or boring, its only one room, worth a visit

We walked along the coastal Path in Ravenscraig Park from Kirkcaldy to this amazing scenic old tidal Harbour. We think it is part of the many locations for scenes in Outlander seen in Fife, if not it certainly deserves to be. From the high surrounding walls, the old buildings and when we arrived low tide which left to boats in the harbour low and dry! It was a long way down to the boats in the silt. Loved this harbour and took many photos. We then proceeded to walk along the Dysart Trail out along the Pan Ha houses, St Serfs tower, the Tolbooth and back down to the harbour

By now we had a desire to have a Brunch/Lunch and we found the cafe up in the Harbourmaster house more than suited us. There was a good breakfast menu and we decided on French Toast and a Philly Cheesesteak with local Buffalo meat. Both were very good with two good slices of Lemon drizzle cake to follow. The cafe was nice and clean with the kitchen in plain view, some nice tables with a view over the harbour, unfortunately they were full when we were in. The staff were polite and friendly,. The only small issue was that it did take a little while to take our order, but as we were resting up a bit after our walk in the lovely day it didn't matter too much to us. If you were in a hurry it might have been a nightmare.

This is a lovely little cafe to visit after a walk along the coast. There’s a basic selection of hot drinks, snacks, sandwiches and hot foods like jacket potato and soup. It’s clean, bright, and airy and they seem quite child friendly (there’s a little book shelf with crayons and paper etc). The only downside is the staff- dour and bordering on rude. They act like you’ve just wandered into their living room and demanded something from their own personal pantry. Despite the fact that it’s never really bustling and busy, they make they’re impatience known if you take longer than 30 seconds to make a selection. Thankfully the rest makes it easy to ignore their sour glares

Visited here many times and it was brilliant. I gather it has been taken over and I visited with 3 friends. Told there wasnt space - understandable - no offer to wait - very abrupt. A person working there offered to see if she could help and was given short shrift also !! She apologised she couldnt help. No offer of anything. As we walked out people came out and I returned and was told not serving?? No idea why it was mid afternoon?
Sadly I will not return on my regular jaunts to Scotland. Disgraceful manners and far from helpful or pleasant.

I stopped in for a coffee and something to eat. I had a latte and a flapjack and they were really nice, the baking obviously home baked and all the better for that. From the chatter from other tables it was obvious that everyone else was really enjoying their food which was ranging from bacon butties through salad nicoise to cranachan.

The staff had a great line in banter which made it a nice place to. Be on a summers day.

Mum and I popped in here after our little walk. The cafe has had a facelift and looks so fresh. The new owner had no problem giving me a face mask after I'd forgotten mine. The order was taken quickly and served just as quick. The cappuchino was really nice, as was the scone we had. I will definitely be back

I came here with my husband to show where i spent my childhood summers with my grandparents. Its more beautiful than i can remember. We caught a lovely sunny day and walked down the fife coastal path from a while and then sat round the harbour watching the ships pass by.
We called for a coffee and a cake in the Harbourmasters house which is lovely and welcoming inside. Staff are friendly and attentative and the food is freshly made and delicious.
A lovely little stop off with fond memories of the past.

The recently reopened Harbourmaster’s House Cafe is a gem. We popped in after a walk yesterday for coffee (and a home made chocolate cookie) and it was so good we went back this morning for breakfast. The menu was designed so you picked what you wanted to make up your plate and everything was made to order. The quality of the products is great, everything was delicious. The cakes and scones all look freshly made so looking forward to trying them soon. Very reasonable prices, spotlessly clean and lovely staff. They even welcome dogs on leads so a perfect place for a cuppa (and a bowl of water) after a bracing walk along the beach and harbour. The view is lovely, it is wheelchair accessible. I can’t praise this place enough. Another breakfast visit already planned with family and no doubt will visit for lunch too. They also do takeout if you want to use the picnic tables nearby. Brilliant place!

I love visiting regularly for a tea or coffee to go on my way to Ravenscraig Park. Or for a more special sit in lunch or afternoon tea, it can be a real treat. I would recommend booking as they are becoming very popular. They welcome dogs and offer a colouring sheet for children! Very handy as I’m a mum of two boys.

It’s very affordable, all home made and the staff Eleanor and Cameron and their team have a lovely warm manner.

I thoroughly recommend them!
