An amazing unique canal spectacle.

Nowhere else can you experience spinning round like a fairground ride but in a large canal boat moving between two levels.

Well worth a visit to see a modern canal solution. Take the boat trip up (and down) on the wheel. Travel under the Antonine wall.

We wanted to see this engineering wonder for quite some time now. You can have a lovely walk, see the miniature Kelpies, you can hire a Segway and start to explore. The boat trip, if you want to try, is rather pricey, but it is fun.

We can confirm that the Falkirk Wheel is an interesting site to visit. It was our second visit. You don't have to take the boat lift to appreciate the engineering behind it. It is really quite fascinating. We did not book ahead but visited in October, 2016. The parking lot seemed spacious.

What a wonderful experience, took the opportunity to book the boat trip, which is a must for the views alone. Fascinating piece of design and engineering, incredible that it runs on the power needed to boil a kettle. lovely surroundings and places to eat and a park for children to play in.

Expensive but fun boat trip on canal connecting wheel. Female guide was witty and fun. Pizza stand and kids playground were also very good!

Excellent tour of the wheel, fantastic views over the valley. Round it off with coffee or lunch in the cafe.

Visited the Wheel while staying with family in Falkirk. It is a marvellous piece of engineering but the cafe is mediocre and needs more effort from the proprietors. There's several other features for children at the location

I and a group of friends visited the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel as a "package". The Wheel is incredible - a one off. The engineering is superb and very impressive. The principle is simple and its execution amazing. The trip on the boat is well worth the cost, as the views are magnificent.

Always a pleasant walk, clean and well maintenaned. Coffee at the visitor centre and the wheelhouse are great addition.
