We booked the downstairs function room for a birthday party and everyone had a great night. The room was a fab size for us (about 25) but could also hold more. We were allowed to order in our own food and play our own music...More

Good cocktails, good service, good location, good atmosphere. We found this to be a friendly place for a few drinks one evening while we were wandering around Edinburgh.

Okay little bar, not much space to go around, especially if its busy. Not much to offer drink wise but what they do offer isn’t to bad. This place would be good for a pub crawl stop but not really for a get together.

A welcoming little bar with friendly and professional barman who really knows his cocktails and can make you one not on the card. They also have decent beers and whiskeys.

I booked the function room of the Moriarty bar for my 30th birthday party and I am so pleased that I did. The venue is an excellent choice for private functions. The General Manager, Michael, was excellent from beginning to end. He made the organisation...More

Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
