Amazing Highland day!!!

We went on a day tour to Loch Ness and our driver was Nick (amazing person). Our driver Nick born and bred in Scotland told us amazing stories and was very helpful!!!

Set at the top of Princes street this pretty little cafe has great big windows giving it great views and feeling light and spacious. We called in for breakfast and settled on bacon rolls, lovely and fresh, but there was a wide choice from pastries and beautiful looking tray bakes. Fresh rolls and sandwiches to take away and great coffee... More

I cannot say enough how impressed I am with the guides and with Rabbies the company itself. I had only booked one tour with Rabbies for my Edinburgh holiday (West Highland Lochs and Castles with guide Audrey). I was so impressed with the tour and the guide that I booked two further tours one day tours. Loch Ness and St.... More

We`ve been on the Highland Lochs, Glens & Whisky Day Tour with Jodi and on the West Highland Lochs & Castles Day Tour with Arran Móhr and Wee Nick and it was an amazing experience! Two days full of fun and interesting stories about scotland and it's history. I was told that rabbie's would be good, but it was even... More

We took two different day trips with Rabii's during our 9 days in Edinburgh. Both days were in new Mercedes 16 person vans. The seats were spacious, for us, and very comfortable. the van and the windows very clean. Our first trip was to Loch Ness with our driver and tour guide - Eric who greeted dressed in a kilt... Had such a great day out with our guide Matt. There were 11 of us on the tour, I was taking my 19 yo daughter out for a surprise trip and I had warned her that we might be spending the day with lots of OAPs - not a bit of it! Loads of students and tourists and a mix... More

Went on the Loch Ness, Glencoe, and Highlands tour. I took the tour with Johnathan and had a great time! He was so funny and entertaining but also very informative and kind. The sights in Glencoe were so amazing. Loch Ness was beautiful as well and a must see. We had a lot of stops along the way for bathroom... More

We recently went on two tours with this group. The tours themselves were interesting and fairly well organized. One of our tour guides was quite good. The other tour guide was one of the most chatty human beings I've ever encountered. In the nine plus hours of our tour, I'm not sure he ever took a breath. Beyond his non-stop... More

What a perfect trip! Professional guide Keith and nice small group. Although the weather was not wonderful but we still had a great time in high land and Isle of Skye. I want to go there again with Rabbie's tour.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
