Artisan cheeses, specialty butchers, great fishmongers, organic vegetables, plus specialty bakers, chocolatiers, what more can you ask for? my absolute favourite is Hammond Charcuteries who cure and smoke all kinds of meat. Nice to see this in a busy city. Each stallholder answered questions and volunteered more information. Lovely quality food ranging from traditional food to other cultures selling their items too. It was thoroughly enjoyable

As a visitor to Edinburgh I found this a great market to get some local fresh produce for our stay. Fresh berries and Simple Simon's Pies were especially good. Also some great fresh bakery treats. Not a huge market, but quality offerings.

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable

Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along
