Yuk! Had the steak and ale pie, wish I didn't, mash must have been cooked a day in advance, texture like play dough. Tiny little square of puff pastry placed on top of a ramekin of the so called pie that I swear came out...More

We stopped by for lunch. I had a pie and my wife had fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meal but it was nothing extraordinary. Traditional food in a traditional pub. Friendly staff.

Good selection of drinks available on tap and willing to give you a taste to try-before-you-buy. Nice seating options in the window and outside to watch others travelling up and down the little cobbled street.

We came here for lunch and decided to book for an evening meal. The restaurant was up stairs and the meals were home made and very tasty, lovely atmosphere. The restaurant isn't very big but the food is excellent.
