These walks are designed by best selling historical author and award winning novelist J A Henderson. "The best of Edinburgh’s ghost tours" – Lonely Planet Guide. Combining history, humour and horror, the walk ends inside the Covenanter’s Prison in a locked section of a 16th century cemetery. This is the lair of the "McKenzie Poltergeist," the best-documented paranormal case in history. "Puts the city's other ghost tours in the shade"- Edinburgh Evening News

Two friends and I joined the city of the dead vault and graveyard tour. It was excellent fun, we were luckily enough to be part of a good crowd. Our story teller was engaging and extremely entertaining. Fabulous value for money!

The Double Dead Tour would have been scary enough due to the history and information, coupled with the fact you are underground for some of it. The stories of the poor souls who lived there is terrifying enough. However, it would have been 5 stars,...More

Absolutely fantastic. I dragged along my famously sceptic partner to the double tour and we both had an amazing time. Our guide was David, who was a fantastic story teller, had brilliant timing, and kept us amused (and scared) throughout the evening - which was...More

We had such a great time on both the Underground City tour and the Haunted Graveyard tour. Both tour guides, Thomas and David gave an in depth and immersive description of the gruesome history of Edinburgh. There was no overlapping or repeated facts on either...More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
