Called in to sample the fudge here as it had come highly recommended. Went in and the guys were just finishing off making a batch; I hadn't realised you could watch them make it. We had a sample of the warm fudge which was delicious and warm. Bought three different flavours to bring him. The guy who served me knew... More

I wouldn't normally rave about fudge but the foods they sell in this shop are incredible, There's so many varieties available and the one's we have tasted are great! We purchased 4 different varieties and it came to £16; definitely worth it for the quality (& quantity) of fudge. I would recommend everyone who visits Edinburgh to pop by here...... More

We stopped in for some treats to mail home and ended up with a big box for ourselves too. The whole experience was excellent. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, it was great to see and taste fresh fudge. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone with a sweet tooth!

I have taken two lots of friends to the kitchen and they have all loved it, if your lucky to catch them when they are making the fudge on the table you are in for a treat not only for the eyes but for the stomach to. They give out generous tastings and the fudge is rich and gooey in... More

I walked past and decided to go in and get some fudge! They were doing some course with three people showing them how they make it which looked cool. Bought two slices of fudge and they were really good! Would definitely buy more :)

We stopped by because it on TripAdvisor. The nice German speaking guy told us that they would make some fudge in 10 min. So first we tried fudge and then we bought salted caramel and Belgium swirl chocolate and then we watched them make mint chocolate fudge. We were even allowed to try the warm fudge. Even though we don't... More

WOW! This fudge is amazing! I've tasted a lot of fudge but this fudge is the best I've ever tasted. We were drawn in by the incredible aromas wafting out of the shop door as we walked down the high street in Edinburgh. It was mesmerising to watch the talented staff crafting a very large tablet of fudge and we... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
