I found this place reading up on things to see in Edinburgh (said to be a favorite of Tarantino's when he's in town) and it was lovely! Has a cafe/bar attached that you can wait around til the screening, comfortable seats in the theater. Great...More

Went to see Planet of the Apes on a Friday. A little walk from town. Didn't book and turned up 15mins after the showing had 'started'. Plenty of spaces left and was no issue for us to get tickets. Priced at the same as the...More

After years of modern multi screen this was a reminder of how it used to be. Except I don't remember seats every being that comfortable. If I lived in Edinburgh I would certainly become a member

I've been going to to Cameo for years and always loved it. Just such a relaxing and friendly place to go and watch a movie. The selection of movies is usually good with always something to enjoy. Screen 1 has the advantage of having all...More

Really nice cinema, friendly staff. The bar does great hot chocolates and a nice range of cakes and snacks, which you can take in to the screen. There are three screens. Screen 1 is huge with nice reclining seats, screen 3 feels like a private...More

We were in Screen 2 and it was tiny but despite that this place is wonderful. Everything, from purchasing the tickets to the snacks on sale - together with the films being presented - are exactly what cinemas should be.

I really enjoyed my trip to this cinema. So unique and lovely. Saw a film in screen 1 and it was just beautiful. So authentic. I also loved how the seats reclined! Bliss!

Just a quick trip up to see I, Daniel Blake (10 out of 10, but that's another review) lovely cinema, nice bar, great service, comfortable "reclining" seats, clear picture with excellent sound quality. It was worth the 120 mile round trip. One negative, nothing to...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along
