St Mary's is the Episcopalian Cathedral in Edinburgh, an impressive piece of neo-Gothic architecture on the edge of the New Town. Well decorated and welcoming. Worth a visit.

More recent than most: 1800s. Early morning light through the stained glass makes the nave very pretty. Incredible carvings around doors and arches. Three towers -- all tall. Main tower goes from square to an octagon which is pretty unique. Walk around the whole thing....More

St. Mary's Cathedral is worth a visit to Edinburgh. The church is beautiful inside and outside. Free to enter but a donation is accepted.

Not a big fan of the Chief in the sky but they did build some incredible churches in his honour. Just walk in here off the pavement on Palmerston Place and be blown away with the architecture.
