Take a break from shopping and sightseeing and walk along the river in Dean path. You will feel miles away from the city.

Dean Village is a peaceful village situated on the banks of of Leith River. It was founded in the 12th century by the monks of Holyrood Abbey. Today it is an exclusive place.

Quiet, charming place, not so far from the city centre, and a nice path to walk on your way to the Botanic Garden

You can start the visit at many points along the Water of Leith and reach the Dean Village along the way. Old mill buildings, picturesque houses and wildlife along the Water of Leith make this a lovely walk.

has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
