The last few visits may have been rather disappointing but it was a very pleasant surprise to find the place back on form with some excellent beer. Always good to welcome back a prodigal!

This pub just off the Grassmarket has a great selection of local and Scottish beers and despite being in a touristy part of town manages to keep a genuine local pub atmosphere .

It states that they have over 300 whiskies on a sign outside; I didn't count them but what a choice! Really nice atmosphere and very handy location for this little bar!! Go and have a look!

Hi Patrick. Not to my knowledge. The Bow Bar has been running since 1987 so I doubt another 'Bow Bar' was on the street.
