This is an ancient cemetery in the heart of the city of Dundee. It was laid out and given to the city by Scottish royalty. It has a huge history and there are guides for it that are well worth taking.

This is the old city cemetery, next to a church, in the center of town. One can spend some time reading the tombstones, and there are pretty trees.

Went there with members of my photography group. To think I was born and bred in Dundee and had never visited. It is an interesting place with some very old headstones of former Dundee merchants, pleasant place to spend some time.

Even on a wet day it was worth the effort to try and reconcile the map with the actual gravestones listed. Why - because to find the referenced you found lots of other oddities.

Very important piece of history right in the middle of Dundee. There are some incredibly old graves, including the witches stake.

I'm not a person who's put off by cemeteries. This is the oldest cemetery in Dundee, so I often wander through it when I'm in the town, or just want some peace & quiet.

I've noticed this cemetary quite a few times throughout my visits to Dundee whilst my daughter has attended University. Only ventured in once with respect. Well maintained and historical.
