Each floor has a different display, which for my part didn't add to the castle experience. It's a small coastal fort. That's about it.

We love Broughty Ferry and Broughty Castle. A lovely little town with great shops and a beautiful beach. Combine a bit of shopping with a walk to the Castle then along the sea front.

A free venue with lots of history and good views over the river Tay. We enjoyed our visit and Broughty Ferry is a lovely town.

We were intent on visiting the castle as we were in the area and were pleasantly surprised to find it was free of charge. There is ample street parking and easily accessible. The grounds and exterior are well kept and on the battlements, you experience a great 360 degree view of Dundee city, the sandy beach and North Sea. Inside,... More

We were passing through Broughty Ferry so decided to visit the castle. Don't know if I would go out my way to visit but was ok for short visit. Probably best viewed from the outside but there is also a museum inside with exhibits over 3 floors.. Quite a historic Place fought over many time... In summary I would say... More

It's free to get inside and actually probably would be quite interesting however it's outside with underneath bits and guns etc that are actually exciting and then you've got the really nice view of the water and tayport etc. Outside the castle there is castle green play park and also the beach

Plenty history and authentic pieces to be seen. All free so get along and find out more. Winding staircase so not very suitable for people with mobility problems. Kids love exploring, and free activities to keep them amused while you look.

I've passed by Broughty Castle many a time but this was a great sunny day. It felt like being abroad so we decided to be tourists and have a look inside. The spiral staircase was very steep, that reminded me of the Victoria monument in Berlin. The contents had similarities too. Artifacts and stories from the history of the castle.... More

Couldn't have been happier with our visit. Super friendly staff - great with all the kids. Lots to see, and something for everyone. Amazing views and walking distance from the parking, the beach, and the high street. Clean toilets is another plus. Only downside is the stairs, clearly part of the original building - steep, stone and winding - so... More
