I got admission to this museum in combination with the Discovery Museum and was very glad I did. Although there are buses between the two, I chose to walk and there was enough signage that I was able to find it. The building is a...More

We visited in mid-August. It's on the edge of the city centre, in a (now) run-down ex-industrial area, close to other ex-jute works etc. The museum is fabulous though, as it charts a now-unknown but previously world-leading industry segment. It's also a very interesting social...More

Loved this museum visited as a twin of the Discovery museum. So pleased we did as we probably would have missed it. Great experience of listening to people who actually worked in the factory, personal experiences. Fantastic.

This was an interesting tour and very informative on the Dundee of the Industrial Revolution. Shows jute production all the way through with the machines that were used to work the jute into fibres they could use to make burlap/hessian.

Visited Verdant Works many years ago and found it very interesting. I was involved in the weaving industry years ago and found that this museum has improved dramatically. I had a great visit and it took me back a number of years. Excellent.

Don't think so and also the lady that talked to us about the works had a Dundonian accent. That could perplex even the most fluent international linguist.
