Brighouse Bay is a lovely natural Bay close to Kirkcudbright. We sat on the beach and had a picnic. Lovely even when it’s not very warm and sunny

What a lovely little beach, quiet and sheltered. There are toilet facilities, a small car park and very pleasant walks along the cliffs to the south. Well worth a visit of you're in the area

Used to come here as a kid and it hasn't changed in forty years. Loved it then, love it now! Nice and quiet, with a pretty view over the shallow bay.

U shaped inlet. Rock pools on one side to explore. Good opportunities for crabbing. Burn enters sea in the centre so good for paddling and clean sandy beach all around. Very quiet and often deserted. Love this place.
