Gardens are well worth a visit in the spring or summer however the coffee shop is very expensive for coffee & cake. £15 for 2 x small warm cups of coffee & cake was not really value for money. Go & visit the gardens but give the shop a miss & call in to Glentress for coffee or lunch.

Visited on a sunny day so great timing and took some great photos. Very peaceful gardens and lovely flowers and fountains. Nice little courtyard cafe with nice pork pies and friendly staff. Cafe soon ran out of food and after we ordered we soon had to change our order. Would definitely recommend gardens though.

Great opportunity for the children to learn the rudiments of fishing, includiini handling maggots and killing the landed trout by hammering them with a priest. All but one enjoyed it greatly. The one turned within minutes from being a pescetarian to a vegetarian and took solace in waling with the grandnparents through the lovely gardens. The food in the cafe... More

Had wonderful cafe lunch here in lovely courtyard surroundings. My parents enjoyed the walled gardens while we took the children fishing at kailzie fisheries across the car park.

The walled garden was very well tended and plenty of plants, shrubs, flowers and some veg. The gentle walks in the surrounding woodlands were lovely. Coffee shop also had a nice lunch menu

Following a short stay in the Borders, we visited Kailzie Gardens on our journey home based on the strength of its web site. It is just a short drive south east of Peebles. We arrived early so the place was quiet with plenty of parking. Initial impressions seemed good but this unfortunately did not last. Way finding was adequate but... More

The highlight of a trip to Kailzie is the walled garden which is very well laid out and very tranquil. Had lunch at the restaurant café which was tasty and reasonably priced. Ideal for a short visit.

We visited the cafe as a family group to celebrate the birthday of a very old dog! We sat outside but there is one area inside where it is possible to sit with dogs. We enjoyed very good service and the friendly waiter even sang 'Happy Birthday' and gave us a gift bag of dog treats. A relaxed atmosphere and... More

I had always wanted to go here so today was the day no Forsyth pork pies left so opted for the quiche with potato salad and courgette salad which was tasty and filling but no wow factor on leaving there it was in the chill cabinet pork pie so I may just go back and try again I can imagine... More
