I visited Glamis Castle for the first time recently and had an excellent time, beautiful grounds and excellent, knowledgeable and funny staff, well worth visiting with all the family.

Have wanted to see Glamis for ages, finally made it!! Where the Queen Mum was born (amongst others) but lots of history to take in. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful castle and grounds as many reviews have stated. My additional comment is that it is one of the few grand houses or castles with gardens that truely are dog friendly. National Trust take note! Dogs are welcome, not just tolerated or worst banned. Dogs...More
Guided tours are not always the best way to see a castle, but his was not overly long or boring. The castle is quite lovely and, as far as castle visits go, a gem!
