The Angus Folk Museum is still on the most recent tourist map we have and we were really disappointed to find it closed because of the building's condition. This is a National Trust for Scotland property and I am surprised that the organisation has not...More

This closure is a great pity as it is in TWO parts - the row of stone roofed cottages and the agricultural museum opposite. The cottage roofs needs costly repair work however the other part is separate and could be open to the public if...More

Sorry this is now closed indefinitely awaiting funding for major repairs to the buildings. I've been told this could take more than five years before anything can be done

This National Trust for Scotland property is closed and It would appear all the contents moved as the roof requires attention but the NTS seems not to have much interest in wee properties such as this and Barries Birthplace in Kirriemuir !

Folk museum is just feet away from glamis castle. From the entrance at the main driveway it is just round the corner and from the other exit of glamis you walk by it so there is no reason not to take a look. Basically its...More

Travelling back from holiday we noticed signs to this small Scottish Trust property. The property is split in to two. One part is a series of cottages showing an insight in rural home life, the other part, which is across a small road, displays agricultural...More

Not to miss when you leave the Glamis castle through the private car exit. Small but very real presented with plenty equipment, tools, furniture’s and mannequins depicting past habits. With our NTS card we had free entrance, and detected quite some of the items from...More
