We went here for our anniversary and all in all had a negative experience. The food is very pubby, however they couldn't even cook a steak. My husband had the steak which had clearly been defrosted and then fried when not quite defrosted. He squeezed...More

Was there in October while on nearby caravan site and had a few meals all of which were excellent. Returned for Christmas meal. Service and meal first class. Look forward to returning in April when at nearby caravan site.

Were here today for early Christmas lunch. Service excellent, were welcomed at door lovely cosy atmosphere and the food was great. Will go again.

I used to go here when it was the foresters and it was ok but under new management it is much improved the ribeye steak my self and my father had was divine Well worth a visit

Had a thoroughly excellent meal with a friend on Saturday night. Emma the waitress was ace! Informative of special offer on wine and attentive towards us. The taste of the venison casserole was amazing! Compliments to the chef John who said he will keep it...More
