Visited here for 90 minutes or so and the lady made us very welcome. Looked round the interesting exhibits pertaining to the Signal Tower and Bell Rock Lighthouse which the lady then helped us pick out in the distance. Good postcards for sale. All in all it was well worth the visit.

Fascinating and well presented history of the bell rock lighthouse. Loads of artefacts, story boards, models, pictures and videos. Plus a helpful lady to answer questions. Activities and quizzes for younger visitors. Spend as long as you like. Plus it's free!

Always try to go in with my little brother so he can see a little bit of History. We always try to make a day of it. It is better with the layout it is now.

Interesting museum. Good for a rainy day and to kill an hour. Very friendly staff. Little activities for the kids too.

An interesting light house. FREE to get in. Right on the water. Took many great photos there. Its in a great location with plenty to see near it and many great pubs to go to.

Having seen trip advisor recommendations I visited today with my daughter, daughter in law and 7 year old grandson. He greatly enjoyed the quizzes requiring him to go in many rooms searching for things. I had a lazier time, mainly watching the atmospheric video dramatisation of the building of the Bell Rock lighthouse. It looked authentic, even though set over... More

I have passed this Tower many many times and never new exactly what or why it was there. Just by chance one evening at Arbroath Docks taking photographs around the area, I caught a shot of a lovely sunset behind the tower. This gave me a push to actually go see what it was. It was a Signal Tower, now... More

We stopped at the museum as we were on holiday nearby, not sure what to expect. My husband and I both agreed it was one of the best kept and interesting museums we had been to- our four year old loved looking for the items on the scavenger hunt, and the displays were interesting for adults and children alike. The... More

Coming in through a sheltered court yard where I was able to take refuge from a keen breeze and enjoy a couple of tasty Arbroath 'smokies' at a picnic table, I then entered this intriguing museum. It is clean and warm and the young lady in reception has a welcoming smile while avidly imparting information on the Bell Rock Lighthouse... More

We were about to walk past and luckily decided to go in. So glad we did as learnt so much about The Bell Lighthouse. About an hour is enough time to take in the 2 floors of small rooms filled with great historic information and artefacts.
