Had a wander down here as I remember it from childhood visits. The tide was out revealing a large expanse of sand. Easy to park and go for a walk here.

Lovely beach even in winter and perfect for dogs. Very quiet except for a few surfers, which was nice to watch. Easy to park and walk down to the beach. Great fish merchant next to it selling delicious fresh fish as well.

Long sandy beach, (when tide is out), usually clean and free of litter etc. Suds Surf School based here so always plenty of surf action going on. Longer walks east or west to Findlater Castle or Portsoy. Great Hostel accommodation at Portsoy (Portsoy Sail Loft).

My wife and i walked our dog down onto the beach recently and what a lovely clean beach it is. The river Deveron flows across the beach down into the sea and it was a real pleasure and a most enjoyable walk. Thoroughly recommended.

Honest to goodness, this beach is one of finest shell sand beaches I have spent time on. It’s totally secluded and not overly busy. There’s a whisky distillery (Glenglassaugh) and castle ruins (Findlater) within walking/hiking distance if you get board (get it?) of riding the...More

Beautiful wild little cove, short walk on sand. We picked up a lot of plastic rubbish though (seems like a constant problem with prev reviews). Surf school looked fun.

Sandend is just a little way from our house in Banff so we go fairly often. It is a stunning, very safe beach. It's excellent for dog walking (please pick up after your dog) and very good for surfing and bodyboarding. I love it and...More
