Nice gardens let’s down by tired maintenance
Aug. 2021 • Couples
The gardens were looking a bit neglected, many areas were over grown and signage was missing. There are some wonderful plants and some areas are still well maintained but overall the whole place could do with some tlc

Lots of botanic/medical information
Sep. 2019 • Solo
Rainy day when I went but still a quiet place in the city. Lots of placards with information on how current medical products were/are derived from various plants. Some of the plants were labeled and there was a nice handout on the way in the explained the various parts of the garden.

Lovely place for quiet walks and looking at all the different types of plants in the different gardens. Great to see many plants not normally seen.

Nice grounds if a little unkempt
Sep. 2019 • Solo
Visited here at the same time as visiting St Machar’s Cathedral. The grounds are nicely laid out however, I felt the gardens were a little unkempt compared to many other gardens. Nevertheless, it would still be a lovely place to have a seat and a sandwich in the summer.

Great little botanic garden
Aug. 2018 • Family
Beautiful little botanic garden in Old Aberdeen with loads of little hidden corners and a number of different sections. We visited in August when the garden was not at its best, but there was still plenty to enjoy - the long perennial borders were imposing. Highly recommended for any gardeners.
