Hollie took us around Aberdeen's dark and ghoulish secrets and told us the stories behind the history, politics, debauchery and even some phrases we use in today's language that came from macabre practises on the 16-17 century Scotland. It was fascinating listening to Hollie. Thoroughly recommend her free walking tour!!

My friend and I booked this tour, because we were in Aberdeen for one day and knew very little about it. We were not disappointed! Bronwyn was our guide, and we spent 2 hours learning about the city & seeing a lot of public art in the process. It's an easy tour, meaning not too strenuous for two 70 year olds to keep up with and enjoy. I snapped lots of interesting photos, and we learned enough to revisit a few select sites when the official tour ended. Highly recommend!

Unless you're there to golf at the 5 star beautiful course and hotel, not really getting much out of the downtown area. Go on to Dingle for the good food and shopping experiences.

Bronwyn was a great guide, the tour was well paced, informative and fun, especially the parts pointed out which you would have easily walk passed without noticing.

Fascinating walk ‘n talk tour from Bronwyn which was so interesting I barely noticed the heavy rain.
Lots of history and some appealing modern art works were included.
I got the impression Bronwyn was genuinely keen on her subject (s) and does some research herself.
Where information was inconclusive or there were opposing views on historical points she gave us balanced information to consider.
Great tour for any thinking person who’s curious to learn more, quickly, about this super city.

We were shown round by Dave, an Aberdonian who knew his city and clearly loved it. The walk took in the old and the new as well as some unfathomable planning decisions! It was just the right length and has made us want to come back and visit the various museums as well as Old Aberdeen. Dave had an interesting anecdote or memory at each stop as well as a few words in Doric to liven things up. I would recommend these tours as a great way to get to know Aberdeen and I’m only sorry we didn’t get to spend longer there.

Brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It completely transformed my first impressions of the city. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, skillfully blending distant history with current events and culture to create a well rounded picture of Aberdeen and its people.

A really good introduction to Aberdeen. Our tour guide, Willow, was very pleasant and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable and was happy to share as we walked at a steady pace around the centre of the city. The route was largely flat and firm underfoot. We enjoyed our introduction to Aberdeen.
