We were lucky to have a bright sunny day in February so decided to have a walk out from the city centre. Fittie is a gem of a place to visit with little pathways around the rows and courtyards. Like stepping back in time.

Having enjoyed an excellent brekkie nearby, we strolled on to Fittie. It's a great way to pass the time strolling through this old fishing village. If you want more info there are great videos on You Tube.

Visited innumerable times. Always take visitors here. Enjoy seeing the changes and upgrades folk have done to their gardens and sheds.

What an interesting journey back in time to when Aberdeen was a thriving fishing port. Lovely terraced houses exuding messages of friendship are a must visit when in Aberdeen. It was a somewhat surreal but most enjoyable experience.

There are some quaint houses with picturesque gardens. Look out for the weather rock (a particular highlight).

Had always wanted to visit this old fishing village. Eventually did when I returned to the area. Very quaint village, some modernised, but lots of originals

Recommend for a slow stroll around a typical North East fishing village of over a hundred years ago. The houses are mainly stoutly built dwellings, many of which have been modernised internally, but still show their original character on the outside. Once the home of fisher families, many are now owned by artistically minded people who have retained the original... More

Come and see how small people were years ago!!! You would never fit inside the doorway without ducking. The proud residents have kept their heritage to inspire visitors. The yards and sheds are a credit to them. I admire all of the occupants to put up with the blustering weather. I have never felt so cold in my life!!! Keep... More

Go and see. No one will disturb you. Admire the old fishermen's houses. Most will be owned by wealth incomers but they remain beautiful. It remains as it always was. Maybe they take more care over arrranging the flowers these days but don't we all?
