This “fishing village within Aberdeen” is a bit quirky. Small varied houses cum shacks, smack on the harbour edge with industry all around. Worth a visit but only for about 30 minutes.

Easy access along the beach front of Aberdeen Bay to the channel entrance of the shipyards. The majesty of the ships that service the oil rigs can be seen up close. The entrance to the channel at Footdee attracts dolphins. Driving through the old fishing...More

It's a beautiful little village at the end of Aberdeen beach. I love those little house, and art in some gardens. It looks peaceful and quiet. Nice walk.

It's worth taking a trip down to the seaside here to take a look at Footdee. A very sweet village that wont take long to get around, but is worth seeing for the slice of history. The surrounding coast and riverside areas are also lovely...More

Interesting to see how fisherman used to live, & usual buildings set amongst the harbour entrance of Aberdeen.

I took some friends visiting from England for a walkaround this original fishing area of Aberdeen. They were fascinated by the small houses and the layout. You can lean over the wall and see the sea too! A must for visitors to the area.

A quaint old fishing village, perhaps not so much fishing done nowadays but more residential? Loved the oddities of some of the buildings.

Yes you can walk it in twenty minutes or so, but goes past the docks so is not very pleasant for a stroll! Best bet is to drive and park at the sea front for free.
