A fantastic scenic spot with a fabulous view over the Stirling area. It has some interesting less defined routes in the lower forest area if you're comfortable with exploring a little and that was quite fun for us. It did have a pair of roaming highland cows and their calves peacefully roaming the lower moorland area when we were walking... More

This is a fantastic walk, and once you reach the top you can definitely say it's all been worth it, the view is amazing!!! Our family walks up with the dog are brilliant!! Kids absolutely love it as do us big kids!! Doesn't cost you a penny and it's great exercise for all the family. Fab wknd outing!

What is wrong with people. You have to wonder about the mentality of people who take to the beautiful hillsides around our gorgeous country, with their spectacular views and rugged grandeur and spoil it for others because of their stupidity and laziness. Come on people lets look after our country, be proud of it and have a little respect for... More

We started the climb at the carpark in Blairlogie, and headed up and round towards the resevoir, before turning back and heading up a gradual slope towards the summit. This got steeper as we continued, and I needed a few breaks! We reached the top, and were congratulating ourselves, when a runner appeared from the Stirling side, ran round the... More

Have done this walk on bright sunny day instead of starting from University of Stirling, three of my friends got down at Menstrie and started our walk from the park. It was very boggy and is recommended to wear boots as its mostly slippery. We have taken around an hour and half to reach the summit to capture the beautiful pics.... More

This is a great little hill for a family with young children, our kids (5 and 9) loved it.It's well signposted from the Sherriffmuir Road side and although busy we were able to get parked no problem. The ground is a little boggy in parts and it is very exposed at the top so make sure you are suitably dressed.... More

Had a great time on this walk, started from Sherifmuir around 9:30am and didn't see anyone else till we got near the top so a few others must have started earlier than us. Was a bit buiser coming down, next time I'm going to take a flask of tea or sandwiches to enjoy on the way up.

Did this on Christmas day on a nice bright partially sunny day. What a beautiful walk it is. Took about an hour to climb up and an around 45 mins down. It was muddy and so you will need a good pair of walking boots or comfy wellies. You can take your kids along (6+ years), dogs, cycle up (some... More

Every new year a team of us tackle the summit. Last year the wind was so powerful we couldn't actually get to the top. We had to turn back about fifty feet from the top. Areas of the trail can be boggy and wet, so good footwear is advisable. There is some car parking available a short walk from the... More

It is a pretty long walk, especially if you're coming from the University campus, but so worth it! The views of the city, Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument are beautiful. You can see for miles and miles. Wear shoes you don't care about too much, it can be very muddy. Views are worth it though!
