The Apprentice Boys Siege Museum is in a temporary location in Bishop Street however it is still well worth visiting. The display tells the story of the Siege and the history of the Apprentice Boys for only £2 and the tour guides are well informed and do a great job

Unfortunately The Apprentice Boys Memorial Hall is closed for refurbishment until approximately July 2015,but The Siege Museum which was part of The A.B.O.D. Memorial Hall has moved to a temporary exhibition at 16 Bishop St about 50metres from the Hall. The museum is still worth a visit with a DVD telling the Story of the Siege of Derry and a... More

Why are all the historical places in Derry closed by 6pm in June, when the tourists are coming and it stays light until 11 at night.

I used to have a contact at the Hall who I could work out a program with that was good for students, but that is gone now. We sat through 4 videos that were redundant, only to then hear the same things from our tour. Additionally, we had scheduled a walls of Londonderry walk and had to listen to the... More

We visited on the European Heritage Open Day in Sep 2013. Unfortunately there was a band parade in the city on the same day. We arrived in maid afternoon and by that time the Hall was full of bandsmen in a fairly drunken state. It was a bit intimidating as we made our way through the building. The hall on... More

the building could tell many stories was horrified to hear the truth of those men ,wouldnt enter this building if i was given a million pounds , may god forgive the horrific history it hides behind those walls , but the building is well preserved !!!

Stumbled upon this while walking the walls. Worth a visit to see both sides of derry/londonderrys history. Only £2 each and we found it very interesting, though noticed how empty it was. Such a pity
