Dual carriageway and it closes everytime the wind gets too strong. It is expensive to grit and is too far from the city centre . Bit of a white elephant.

A very good experience with our guide as she gave us more vision to some local history.Do not go to close to dark as it may not be as good.

I felt safer walking the bridge rather than driving it. You can take your time and pictures when you walk it. The views are special, even in November.

loved this walk. I met many people during my walk of all ages, mothers with children, strollers, runners and bikers too.

Walked over this bridge with my brother. It nearly killed me. Not for the faint hearted. It's grand if your fit but a long slog for someone like me who's totally unfit. Will definitely do it again though the views are fantastic

They told us that it was a 15 to 20 minutes walk from Waterfoot Hotel to CBD Derry. We are very fit but it took all of 2 hours walking at brisk pace , crossing this bridge & walking into City.

If it's a Windsday be careful as you're high in the air over the Foyle, but the view from up there is breathtaking upriver and downriver. Always a good introduction to first time visitors coming into the city from the airport...take a right at the...More
