Wonderful, amazing place. Pity the cafe is now closed, but all the more reason to bring a picnic or a barbecue. Brilliant for groups, couples or families. Hills are a bit steep for elderly folk. Caravan park is once again top notch, and needs to be booked way in advance.

Brilliant place. Well kept. Brilliant walks. No problem with bad dogs or people. I have a yearly card so great value for money. If not..i think it is £5 per car. Take a picnic. Spend ages here

Beautiful extremely gorgeous well kept National Park with stunning scenery including waterfalls & rivers. Great for a whole day ramble or an hours walk. Has a children's play area & in season a café. Plenty of parking. At the time of year we were there (Feb '17), there was a charge of £5 per car to enter the park &... More

This is one of my favourite places in Northern Ireland. The river walk is so beautiful in all seasons. So badly let down by the fact there is no cafe or restaurant. It wouldn't happy in any other country.

Hi,

My family and I are considering heading to Tollymore Caravan Forest Park but we had read some concerning reviews about the caravan park in Tollymore so that made us apprehensive.

“The park have absolutely no control of what goes on here after hours.” - Reviewed 28 May 2011

“The group who were camping beside us then started to rev their cars move them back and forth and they were threatening to burn people out of their tents.” - Reviewed 28 May 2011

“Peace lasted until around 4.30am. Thats when they started joyriding.” - Reviewed 28 May 2011

“Problem is security do nothing.” - Reviewed 28 May 2011

“ then the gentlemen proceeded to beat his partner and then smash their windows of their people carrier , after police were called” Reviewed 18 April 2011

“we were kept awake by insanely loud music and discussions of a very inappropriate nature for a so-called family campsite. Parents of another family asked if they would turn the music down to which they received appalling verbal abuse.

Around 1:30 the entire site was awoken by a couple in the middle of an argument, this quickly escalated into the boyfriend breaking the driver side front window, the windscreen followed by dragging his girlfriend along the campsite on her back” - Reviewed 17 April 2011

So, can you tell me if security still lets this type of thing happen please?

Also, can families (youngest is 10 years old so well able to cycle) cycling in the forest and are there many routes we can use (as a family)?

Thanks.
