Excellent visitor centre with huge resources of information for the Mourne mountain area and beyond. It also sells gifts and souvenirs. Situated in a modern complex at the Southern end of the main street in Newcastle, County Down.

A good mix of brochures and information as well as selling souvenirs. Well laid out inside. Staff most helpful. A 3D map they have really helps to get an idea of the locality. One of the best visitor information centres I have been to.

We popped in here because we were having trouble arranging a fishing trip, given the time of year. The lady who served us was very helpful indeed and went out of her way to assist us.

Staff very helpful. The centre is well worth a visit. I was looking for a few gifts to bring home. Most items were quite expensive. In places other than Newcastle I visited they stock nicely decorated tins of tea bags and jams or ladies neck...More

This information center was larger than expected, considering that the town was really small. They gave us really good advice on walking trails, and we could buy both stamps and postcards.
