First off the grounds are clean and well kept. Facilities were just ok. Big problem was that the tent pitch is on top of rubble with a thin layer of grass. Good luck with your tent pegs!!

We really enjoyed Gosford, kids loved the new playpark, toilets were close to car park and picnic tables.Though would love more signs on the forest trails to show where we were walking.Pity the castle grounds weren't open to public! The deer grazing nearby were beautiful.

A lovely, well kept forest park. A great playground for the kids, a choice of 3 forest walks that were well kept and well marked. A big deer enclosure which was easily accessible and great for the kids to see deer reasonably close. Ideal for...More

Great spot for a good walk. Can be busy and parking is proving troublesome. You can access grounds for small fee.

We took the long walk and mostly it is quietly subductive. Trees, deer, and a pet farm are ok. Nothing eventful and had to really talk the grandchildren up as to why we should do it. But a nice country walk

Do you mean for a barbecue? I know you can do that but you'd need to check with the wardens If you can build a fire. I've not seen any lit but you would need to check. There is always a warden around.

I imagine so, dogs are permitted in the Forrest but not in all areas. There are signs for no dogs in the area where there are the forest animals. They have to be on a lead too. Hope this helps
