Was really really dissapointed with the Navan Center and it wasn't what we had expected. Very expensive to get in and the only enjoyment the children got was the play area. It is very rundown and tired it's as if the staff really despise working there and have a total lack of enthusiasm. I feel they could offer alot more... More

Fascinating spot and essential for Irish and/or Celtic history buffs, the Navan Centre is also ideal for those with young children as there is a decent (albeit limited) cafe with kid-friendly food, as well as a small playground with sandpit. The subject matter of the Centre itself is tailor-made for children with tales of legend and warrior derring-do. The gift... More

Kids loved this but also sophisticated enough to cater for adults. The tour was great and the staff all very friendly and welcoming.

This is a great piece of history to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, within the complex there is a café, Toilets + disabled ones and a headphone walkthrough tour. It caters for private visits as well as coach party visits. Navan holds several pagan celebrations throughout the year, The Wickerman festival and King Connors Feast being two of... More

This is a popular site for walkers, photographers and historians. Especially good in winter when not as busy. The visitor centre is tucked into the hill side and offers a good coffee, shop and of course history of the area. Well done to all concerned.

Spend a lovely day in Navan Fort with my husband two kids mother in law and my mum. Was very good, informative and we all really enjoyed interacting with the actors around the fire learning about history in a fun way. History was brought to life and made real specially for our 3 and 11 year old kids. Good facilities... More

We visited the Centre with our 11 year old daughter. The reception staff are excellent, welcoming, knowledgable and engaging. They advised us on how to get the best from our visit and encouraged us to dress up for the guided tour. We took the opportunity (albeit feeling a bit silly to start) but it added to the day - so... We really enjoyed the visit! The living history re-enactors helped to set up the significance of the site itself. We had an excellent tour of the ancient site guided by the very knowledgeable Ciaran, and I bought some rare books at the gift shop.

Visited the centre and fort during a 4 day glamping trip in Armagh with our 9 year old daughter. The centre itself was very, very quiet. The exhibition had a lot of reading material displayed on the walls, information headphones were supplied but it didn't hold our attention to be honest - certainly not a nine year olds. The Living... A very interesting visit with lots of information. Our children very much enjoyed it and being fairly local we have visited on a number of occasions when we have visitors with us.
