Sunday afternoon well spent

Took the children to a free sunday with archeology. Even though my youngest children are only 4&2 there was plenty to keep them occupied

This is a really great place to visit. Our 3 children ages 7,5 and 2 loved it. The 'living history' part is amazing where actors take you to a 2000 year old home and explain to the children what life would have been like for them had they lived back then as part of an Irish clan. Sword skills and... More

This is good place to visit most times of the year. But I would really recommend visiting when they run the bealtainne Fire (around 1st of May). Good fun, especially if you are bringing young kids. Think they mark other festivals in the year also (lughnasa, samhain etc).

If you are interested in hill fort, grave mounds and life in ancient times then this is great stop. Beautiful walk around the park and the guide was excellent. Highly recommend the guided walk you will get a much better understanding. The museum is very nice and give a great background. If you have children, check their schedule, they seem... More

Some of the staff were very friendly. I didn't feel like the Centre and what you can do was adequately explained when paying. Thankfully there was a more helpful member of staff to advise us. The reenactments were great. The actor was very entertaining. Nice place to walk around. But I felt there was very little to do and see.

Was really really dissapointed with the Navan Center and it wasn't what we had expected. Very expensive to get in and the only enjoyment the children got was the play area. It is very rundown and tired it's as if the staff really despise working there and have a total lack of enthusiasm. I feel they could offer alot more... More

Fascinating spot and essential for Irish and/or Celtic history buffs, the Navan Centre is also ideal for those with young children as there is a decent (albeit limited) cafe with kid-friendly food, as well as a small playground with sandpit. The subject matter of the Centre itself is tailor-made for children with tales of legend and warrior derring-do. The gift... More

Kids loved this but also sophisticated enough to cater for adults. The tour was great and the staff all very friendly and welcoming.
