Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic walking trail up at Divis Mountain on the outskirts of Belfast City. Definitely recommend the Summit Trail as you get the best views of the City from here, and you can relax at the top and have a nice spot of lunch while admiring the view. There is also a cafe on site which maybe next time I can try out after completeig one of the other trails around Divis Mountain.

Fresh from tackling Slieve Donard we decided to explore Divis and Black mountain. Certainly easier going and totally different terrain. My girls loved being so close to the roaming cows, big downside was the copious amounts of cow dung!!! The views of Belfast Lough and Belfast were worth it and we were blessed with fab weather!!

There is a new Coffee house open on Divis Mountain ,its just off the Upper Springfield Road , turn right onto the Divis Road and you can't miss it . If you want a good walk park the car in the carpark on Divis Road ,cross over the road ,through the turnstile and head on down towards the buildings that you will see.You can open the large gate and drive to the Divis coffee barn, as its called on Facebook.
What a great wee place to go for a couple of hours ,I took my grand children and they loved it . We had a great walk ,the views are wonderful , lots of open space, safe for the kids and for everyone to enjoy .After our walk we stopped in at the coffeebarn and had soup with weathen bread ,which was lovely, kids also had hot chocolate ,and I had tea an a scone all home baked , I could have sat there all day .Will be back with my adult friends for lunch and a slow walk so that I can take in all the wonderful scenery.

Was up last week with my wife and three kids. Had lovely soup and wheaton bread. What I am writing about is what I witnessed. A family came in with their young kids. Ordered tray bakes and hot chocolate
.they tried to pay by card but they don't have that facility up there. The owner, a lovely lady just told the family not too worry about paying and take the food etc. Great to see such lovely humanity today.I will definitely be back!

Had 3 walks of varying lengths well signposted and fully pathed, however some steps and steps over fences to negotiate just to warn those maybe not as mobile. Much preferred this place for works than cave hill. Highly recommended

I organised a walk for a small group of volunteers around the Ridge Trail at Divis and Lisa from the coffee barn kindly agreed to provide refreshments after. Lisa & Margaret could not have been more accommodating; helping us decide on our route, telling us what to expect, and best of all providing hot drinks & delicious food when we returned. They were so welcoming to all of our party, including small children & we all had a great day. For many of us that was our first trip to Divis & we all agreed we will be back with families in tow! Thank you!

Had a walk up divis and black mountain on Saturday and on the way back down stopped at the coffee barn for a capuchino. Best coffee I have had in a long time and although there were lots of home made goodies I resisted. They did look good though and I know I will be back. Some other people were having the soup and stew and it looked good also. The café itself is very homely with great photos of the area on the walls and little pots of fresh flowers on the table. The staff were lovely too.
Opening hours for winter are Saturday and Sunday from 10.30-4.30....definitely worth a visit but go for a hike first. ...great views over Belfast.

What an amazing idea to have a coffee shop up here, the views are absolutely amazing to see while you enjoy a coffee and some of the delicious home baked goodness divis coffee barn have to offer. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the decor is beautiful and very homely. It's a great wee spot that always has activities on for kids so keep an eye out! Love the dog posts and shelters

These are lovely walks and the paths are good. It's amazing the feeling of being away from it all and in the mountains and yet only being a stone's throw from Belfast. Don't miss it!

A must visit while in Belfast! Spectacular views of the city and the iconic green landscape. Great hiking trails, a variety of levels of difficulty, gorgeous cattle and wild horses to admire along with the views. Also wonderful cafe with refreshments and snacks (delicious scones and muffins)! And best of all, fantastic staff who are extremely welcoming and helpful, especially to international students befuddled by public transportation.
