At Belfast's Window on Wildlife you'll be amazed at the diversity of wildlife thriving just 10 minutes from the city centre. Come along to the visitor centre to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and see a huge variety of wildlife up close. Over 200 different species of bird have been recorded here, along with lots of butterflies, mammals, fish and plants. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and help you use the binoculars and telescopes. Then why nit visit one of our outdoor hides to get a different perspective on this special place? We manage the lagoon to create ideal conditions for wildlife: look out for wading birds ad ducks in autumn and winter, and for breeding terns in summer. During your visit you may also catch a glimpse of our konik ponies, which graze the land, helping to create the right conditions for wading birds, such as lapwings to breed.

I always start from a position of wanting to give Belfast attractions a positive review. I grew up here and delight in sharing how far we have come and what we have to offer. Sadly, I resent giving this attraction even 1 star. Perhaps it...More

beautiful area, lovely walks and great for a nice long winters day walk. If you time it right then you can see some gorgeous sunsets. I loved my walks along the shores of the Lough, just remember your midge cream in the height of summer.

We arrived in Belfast an hour too early to even check in for our flight, and since we were RSPB members, decided to pop along. It's a real pity you can't check in from there, since it would out do any airline lounge by a...More
