A wonderful first visit to the Mac, did not disappoint.
I had tried to see the exhibition with my daughter but didn't realize it is closed on a Monday & Tuesday but went with my husband on a Thursday.
Was pleasantly surprised to find such a wealth of interesting activities for all the family . I had heard of the Ron Mueck exhibition which sounded very interesting and with Pierce Brosnon highlighting it,
it was definitely a must .
The works were mesmerising, and definitely thought provoking . From birth, to the daily life struggles of women, to facing death head on. Definitely left me with many memories coming to the fore. Could thoroughly recommend it but with a caution if bringing young children might be too graphic for them.

We have lived in Belfast for over 50 years but this was our first visit to The Mac. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the play. We were able to park close by and the play The Half Moon was excellent a one woman show. It was a full audience and the actress received standing ovation after being on stage alone for 80 minutes.

The MAC is brilliant, all round. The Staff were friendly, helpful. It's clean, well decorated, modern with great toilet facilities. Food is delicious and Coffee was tasty. Highly recommend even just popping to have a look although they do put on interesting shows, art galleries and events for children.

Nice spot but sadly where not friendly to my blind doggy when we called to have a coffee and scone. Had been here before with no issue but this time a staff member told me that we needed to leave and use the outdoor table. This was after I had already ordered and paid for my coffee and scone. Sad that they did it respect the blind doggy whom was in a dog buddy and would not have bothered anyone . Please note this isn’t a dog friendly venue and would recommend you try others in the city.

We went to see 'A Christmas Carol' at the MAC. The show was excellent, with an ingenious twist on the traditional story. The performances and singing were 1st class and the stage design really added to the experience.

We ate in the cafe beforehand and the food was lovely with excellent vegan options.

This staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

It's a brilliant place!

Great to be back these last few months, even if it was stop-start for a while.

An escape and a calmness despite being so close to the City centre.

Intimate performances and events in contrast to the mass produced ones when I feel cramped or need new glasses to see the performance.

Ron Mueck's sculpture exhibition is outstanding. I travelled from Dublin to Belfast to experience his amazing work and it was so worth the journey. The pieces range from huge to small and each is thought provoking and continues to occupy your mind long after you leave. Don't miss this exhibition!

I'll head this up with the opening lining that I am not massively into the arts; I would rather go somewhere historical, or scientific, but my husband enjoys art and I have been to many very good venues with him before. He booked this one in error, thinking it was another highly recommended art gallery. It was just very strange; mainly lots of rooms for people to meet/hold conferences. Then there was a exhibition by Niamh McCann 'Someone decides, hawk or dove'. It was bizarre. Quite sparse.

Excellent craic at Emer Maguire comedy gig. Poignant at times too. Musically gifted rhymes and ditty have the wordsmith characteristics of Victoria Wood; lyrics focused on everyday life sometimes a little smutty when appropriate and using awkward stories to surprise and abuse.
Great handling of material, had us in the palm of her hand, well rehearsed yet spontaneous!. One to watch. I'll definitely be following.

Great venue and staff. Ron Mueck exhibition was unreal Food good but needs more careful labelling as some things said to be vegan but were not and vice versa also food bit overpriced for what you get. Wouldn't let it put me off visiting again though just would eat else where lol
