great venue, especially the open mic nights...

when you stand at the front of a large crowd jostling to see open mic acts, then you know you're in a special venue... nuff said

Comedy Club night was well worth visiting and I had a hoot of a time in there. No buts, the place supplies drink and nibbles and does a good engaging show well worth the £8 on the door. There no pre-booked seats, you queue with everyone else and sit where you can.

My son Rory and I visited the empire recently on a visit to Belfast. Rory wanted to see the the champions league match Leicester v Seville. Pub wasn't overly busy and had big screen for March viewing. Great atmosphere. Nice staff. A very reasonable offer of a drink and pizza for 3 pounds. Couldn't beat that! Also pub had my... More

Spend four days in Belfast with my 30-something year old daughter, and on our way back from touring, en route to Tara Lodge, we stopped for soup and beer at the Belfast Empire. Subterranean, dark and well-appointed, we had Guinness and Irish stew, while a wood fire burned and a barber cut hair. Lovely experience.

an alright night out but I don't go there as often anymore, the band that used to play Tuesday nights downstairs were class, don't know why you got rid of them. I don't go for the music on a Tuesday night anymore and am less likely to go downstairs if I've been at the comedy. It's a shame

Yet another excellent night's entertainment at the Empire. Rab McCullough and his band play authentic down-home blues that reaches the parts others don't. The interval act was a bit too self-absorbed for my liking but there was no denying his talent. A range of craft beers in bottle and on tap helped make this a memorable evenig in an first-class... It was party night and packed out, the people there were a good crowd and in good spirits. The ABBA sound alike band and the subsequent disco were darn good. The bar staff were efficient and courteous. The only thing that marred the night for those near the stage was one so - called security man. He was a nasty... More

Just spent the best £10 ever!! Went to see The Sweethearts of Swing in The Belfast Empire Music Hall and what a night. These three beautiful young ladies know how to sing 3 part harmony. They treated us to a tremendous show singing 40's favourites from The Andrews Sisters & Vera Lynn. Their voices blend superbly, timing and choreography spot... More
