There used to be a bandstand at cornmarket many moons ago and now there is a very modern sculpture. Both then and now it's a meeting place, landmark and congregational space which is used by youngsters. It was getting very busy for Culture night last evening. Worth taking pictures in the morning, it's also illuminated at night.

i always find myself when im walking in the city centre coming to this street to take a nosy in shops such as dunnes stores, throntons and nearby british home stores, which is due to close down very soon. there is always street performer standing outside the titanic quarter themed building that was made up just before the titanic quarter... Good place to meet or sit and watch people go by. I'm not thrilled with the artwork in the middle but, presumably lots of people love it. For me, the old bandstand was better. There are plenty of buskers in the area and there's the odd street preacher. Some of the buskers are great, others rubbish. Could say the same... More

Great little pocket of town for shopping. Walk further up to the Victoria Square rings statue, and there are usually street performers which are pretty cool to watch

This to me is the centre of town. Now it has a sculpture and attracts lots of people especially at weekends. It had a band stand previously and was the "corn market" of years gone by. I still use this as a reference point. It is near the main shopping thoroughfare, City Hall as well as the two main shopping... More

This is a great land mark point for meeting up with friends ect when in the city centre. There is always such a buzz in this area due to buskers playing there music. Many streets converge at this land mark so it is a very busy popular meeting area.

Corn Market is one of five streets that leads to the Spirit of Belfast sculpture – about five minutes walk from Belfast City Hall. It is a great area for shopping as William Street South houses the massive Victoria Square. The other end of Corn Market leads onto High Street & Castle Court Shopping Centre is just around the corner.... More

Cornmarket is a small street joining High St to Victoria Sq, but locals refer to the five streets, which converge at the "Spirit of Belfast", as Cornmarket. It's a trendy place to hang out, judging by the amount of young people here, and at weekends entertainment is often provided. Plenty of shops about also, and it's pedestrianised.

I am a bit biased writhing this as a recently got engaged in a wonderful family run jewellers 'Enlanders' situated in corn market.A lot of the individually owned shops have gone from this area but they have remained over 55 years. They could not have been more helpful with a real caring personal touch. this are also leads to the... More
