Free - so a major plus. So pleasant to walk amongst the sub-tropical plants. We were there on a sunny day but still felt really hot and humid in the greenhouses. Worth a visit when looking around the University district.

Clean, obviously well looked after, and peaceful. I particularly enjoy sitting on one of the benches along the tree lined pathway leading to the Palm House, a most wonderful example of Victorian design and engineering. 28 acres of peace in the city :)

A very lovely park with a mini Kew Gardens that is the Palm House which houses loads of exotic plants and flowers.Unfortunately the Rose Garden wasn't in bloom but otherwise, a lovely place to chill and have a picnic.

We were blessed with exceptional weather when we visited and the garden really shined. We visited late in the day and although various websites tell you that the park itself closes at 9pm, the greenhouse etc close at 5pm! We didn't get to see everything...More

Beautiful gardens and nice for a stroll through on a summers day or early evening. The gates are open until 9pm (in June, unsure on out of season times).

What a place, enjoyed the visit on Friday 1st June. Well worth the visit if you've never been. Good weather makes all the difference. But the Glass house is great and also the tropical ravine.

We just came ot of the museum into the grounds and did not pay a charge, so as far as I am aware it is free unless there is somehing special on.
