Great building and great views. No entry charge. A lovely place for a stroll-whether it's just on the formal gardens (spot the cat!) and lawns; or hike up Cavehill, through the Devils Punchbowl to McArts Fort (aka Napoleans nose). Stunning views over the city, Belfast...More

It was fun to see the castle, but it would have been cool to have the opportunity to enter it. You only need about 15 minutes here to take pictures of the castle, garden and view.

The castle is a lovely design and sits with commanding views of the city. There is a small exhibition with details of its history and the gardens are small but pleasant. It is just a shame you cannot visit more of the interior.

The gardens of the castle and the view out over Belfast are the real attraction here. We also had a lovely afternoon tea in The Cellar restaurant. This is not somewhere to spend hours at, but is well worth a visit.

the castle and grounds are free but the castle is limited to bar and restaurant. There is a small shop with unusual gifts. The view from top is amazing
