Not much of the castle remains but the views from there are stunning. The castle is easily accessed from the village of Parkmill, and makes a great stopping point as part of a walk on Three Cliffs Bay, which is one of the most scenic bays in Gower.

For some reason I am drawn to Pennard Castle every time we are in the Gower, there is a magical feeling about it and the views down across the bay are breathtaking, easy access across the common and golf course with clearly marked paths using white painted stones as guides, best parking is in the street just after the school... It has history, mystery and stunning views....what more do you need from the top of 3 cliffs bay. It has walks and a nearby golf course. The sand that sent over by Irish leprechauns after a mistaken identity resulted in a battle with the local Baron.....truth or fiction?

The castle itself is a bit disappointing but then it is old. Walk to it and you are surrounded with views of cliffs, sea and grassland. Pennard golf course touches the castle of offers a easier access across the land. Three Cliffs bay is just below. Pennard cliffs worth a look and a good vantage point for unbelievable views.

One of my favourite places as I was brought up near here and visited frequently going to a Pennard school, walk across Pennard links to Carole is lovely and the view to greet you is second to none!! Three Cliffs Bay in all its glory with the meandering river and sea with stepping stones up to Penmaen . When the... More

We passed this ruin on our walk. There is not much to see of the castle, apart from a fine arch that has remained intact. There are however some fine views of the bay and cliffs from here. It would be nice if some interpretation boards had been installed. We had to google it to find out the history of... More

Don't expect too much as it's just a ruin. Don't make a special journey but its an integral and interesting part of the walk through the area

A fantastic little castle situated on overlooking the sandy valley heading towards the amazing views over three cliffs. This castle is free to the public. But take care if you take young children as there are no safety fences in place around the outer walls. Well worth the trek up there. just for the views.

We were walking from Parkmill to Three Cliffs Bay and spotted this ruin on the hillside above. We climbed through the sand dunes to be rewarded by a wonderful location and viewpoint
