We were staying in downtown and took the hop on hop off bus to the bay. Great area to walk around, try some welsh cakes, do a short boat ride around the bay or just sit and have a coffee or drink. Liked it!

When the sun is out this part of the city is filled from end to end. The views across the bay are stunning, and there are some impressive structures to gawp at too! At night time you can look back at the whole of the bay from the Norwegian Church and see it lit up.

The area provides a nice place to walk along the bay. Although the place appears more known for the food options lined up along the bay, be it restaurants or pubs.

We love the bay - I keep coming back as I'm from Wales. You feel like your abroad without the weather! If your lucky the weather being good makes it. Lots of choices of food and drink. People are friendly and lots of other things to do aswell.

Walked here from Premier Inn South which took just over half an hour. What a great area. The old Welsh Assembly red brick building fits in so well with the Millennium Centre and large concrete lit pillars. My son really liked the areas that had Doctor Who filmed there. The restaurants and bars give a real choice for anyone looking... More

We walked to Cardiff Bay from our Hotel, it was quite a walk, but worth it. Lots of shops, boat rides, lots of places to eat and drink. We went to Doctor Who Experience there, which was fantastic. There was a lot of people visiting the Bay too. Well worth a visit.

This area has a lot to see with the Bay itself, the Welsh Parliament and the quirky white Norwegian church. It's great for walkers and for photograhers.

Enjoyed the walk around the bay, rather quiet on a February morning with not much to do. Plenty of restaurants and Dr Who and Roald Dahl exhibitions, but few shops to browse in which was a shame.

Go at sunset. You won't regret it! There is some walking up and down stairs involved to get the whole experience but if you would like to avoid steps, you can still see some beautiful views of the water.
