This is a great castle with beautiful views all around Caerphilly. It is also conveniently situated by part of the town centre. The reason I didn't give it more than four stars is that I thought at £23.70 (for two adults and up to three...More

We came to the castle to meet Dewi and Dwynwen the nesting dragons and to visit the castle itself. Gorgeous castle (largest in Wales, 2nd largest in Britain) but unfortunately the weather prevented us from touring around the castle in all its glory (been before...More

A massive castle surrounded by water and a town famous for cheese, what more could you want? Caerphilly Castle is brilliant. I pity anyone who tried storming that. I really enjoy castles you can just wander around so you can get a sense living there...More

This far exceeded my expectations. Lots to see here as the rehab done decades ago was superb, and now there is a recreation of life in the Middle Ages. Nice tour, nice views.

Nice grounds well kept, plenty of ruins left to walk around and view. Good for an easy walk around with dog and eat a subway or greggs etc

What a stunning castle, in a gorgeous town. We spent hours enjoying the old castle walls and rooms and turrets, the moat and ducks.

Yes, lots of information around the Castle about it's history, check the website because CADW have good events going on sometimes and the dragons outside are a must see.
