They run a great tour of the power station here, which I can wholly recommend. However, make sure you book in advance (we went in May and had we not booked we wouldn't have got a space on the day of our tour) and you only need to leave an hour and a half for the tour. Don't arrive 30... More

We found it interesting. Advise you book on line as gets booked up even out of school holidays and not main holiday season. Glad we did. All over very quickly although an hour long. Should give you ear plugs instead of hard hat!

Visited whilst on holiday in the area and so glad we did. Really interesting tour and Dave was a great guide. Very informative with lots of information on the way round. Amazing to think you're deep in the mountain and how quick energy can be generated. Booked the day before but some tours were sold out so a warning to... More

We came here whilst on a weeks holiday staying nearby. The dads thought it might be an interesting thing to look at. The visitors centre itself I thought looked run down and most of the exhibits upstairs didn't work. The kids enjoyed it though. We waited around until we were called and then went through to a cinema and watched... More

This is a trip to see the hydro-electric power station deep underground. You need to book in advance. It's worth checking the website in plenty of time. Groups depart from the Electric Mountain centre in Llanberis. You will be provided with a helmet and a hair net! You then travel by mini-bus to the power station where you venture deep... More

The visitor centre is free and includes a cafe, toilet facilities as well as a gift shop. The car park by the centre and all nearby car parks are pay and display. The tour is fairly priced and is probably best to pre book tickets just to be safe as it is quite a popular attraction. Had no trouble collecting... More

My husband and I went on the tour of electric mountain and we were amazed by the whole set up of it . We watched a short video and then got on a bus to go underground to explore the how it all worked . We were sporting a hairnet with a yellow hard hat which they provide . There... More

I would describe my trip as follows: Booking - Came at a quiet time of year. As a 'Walk-in' no issues booking. Access to the visitor centre is free, and to go on a tour cost about £8.00. Booked at reception with no problems. Staff nice enough. Cafe - A really small selection of food and some cakes. I had... More
